Our CF filter housing and Deltapor filter cartridge options are specifically designed and manufactured for drinking water, approved under regulation 31 of the Water Supply Regulations 2000 – DWI 56/4/1274, DWI 56.4.1257 – and have been adopted by many of the major water supply companies.
Developed for safe, reliable and cost-effective filtration, Deltapor is ideally suited to the removal of particulate matter such as sand, silt and organic material, as well as cryptosporidium. The Deltapor manufacturing technology produces a filter cartridge with high void volume which offers high throughputs, low pressure loss, high dirt capacity and a long on-stream life span, particularly for municipal drinking water applications. It reduces turbidity, protects further treatment processes, including membrane filters, and helps to meet drinking water safety standards.
CASE STUDY
Envirogen provides DWI approved filtration system to Major Water Utility Company.
Client Needs
A major water supply company in Northern England identified that 6 boreholes from 2 independent locations were at risk of producing high turbidity levels on start-up, which ultimately would affect the treatment process and potentially the quality of water supplied to the network.
Our Solution
After extensive evaluation of all potential solutions the water company decided to use specifically designed Envirogen ‘CF’ Filter Housings incorporating Envirogen Deltapor MWA – DWI Regulation 31 filter technology for controlling turbidity.
The Results
The 6 boreholes were linked to a common water treatment plant by a network of pipes, this enabled a maximum of 25 million litres of water per day to be processed more efficiently offering significant performance and commercial related benefits.
